Wilcon Depot, a leading home improvement and construction supplies retailer in the Philippines, marked a significant milestone with the celebration of its 100th store legacy on January 21, 2025. The grand event, held at Shangri-La The Fort, brought together esteemed industry partners, suppliers, and media representatives to commemorate Wilcon’s remarkable journey and enduring success.
The event, attended by over 500 guests from both local and international circles, was a testament to Wilcon’s strong industry presence and unwavering commitment to excellence. Ms. Rosemarie Bosch-Ong, SEVP & COO of Wilcon Depot, warmly welcomed the attendees, reflecting on the company’s 48-year journey.

“What has helped us move forward was staying true to our simple yet powerful Filipino core values. With a good amount of courage, wisdom and heart, Wilcon Depot was able to defy the odds, or shall I say, gravity, and fly high to 100! Tonight is not only a testament to how far we’ve come, but a reminder that our journey is far from over – it is only just beginning. Tara, join us to many more years, stores and milestones! Isang daan na Wilcon, isang daan pang Wilcon, isa lang ang daan: Wilcon.” said Ms. Bosch-Ong with pride.
Wilcon Depot’s journey began with a modest 60-square-meter hardware store in 1977. Built on a foundation of hard work and a commitment to providing quality home improvement products, Wilcon has grown into a trusted household name.
The #FlyingHighTo100 campaign encapsulated Wilcon’s drive for progress and dedication to serving communities with exceptional products and services. The company achieved its 100-store milestone a year ahead of schedule, demonstrating its aggressive expansion strategy since going public in March 2017.

The evening’s program featured captivating performances and a heartfelt tribute video, showcasing Wilcon’s rich history and evolution. A highlight of the event was the presentation of “The Beacon” plaque to Dr. William T. Belo, founder and chairman emeritus of Wilcon Depot. This exquisite glass sculpture, crafted by renowned Filipino artist Marge Organo, symbolizes clarity, resilience, and brilliance – qualities that have defined Dr. Belo’s visionary leadership.
Ms. Lorraine Belo-Cincochan, President and CEO of Wilcon Depot, concluded the event by expressing gratitude to the company’s long-standing partners, executives, and dedicated employees. “As my father always says, our workforce, our people, our human resources are Wilcon Depot’s greatest blessings,” she emphasized.

Looking ahead, Wilcon Depot remains focused on its mission of helping Filipinos build better homes. The company is now prioritizing the expansion of its smaller store formats, including DO IT WILCON shops, to increase accessibility in underserved areas.
