The Philippine World Building and Construction Exposition (WORLDBEX), a top-ranked event in the Philippines, returns March 13-16, 2025, at the World Trade Center Metro Manila and SMX Convention Center Manila. This year’s theme, “Beyond Sustainnovation,” emphasizes the need for environmentally conscious and resource-efficient practices in the construction and design industry.
Accordingly, this year’s theme challenges the various sectors involved to adhere and share our commitment to the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals #9 and #11 that encourages developing countries to innovate in major industries and infrastructures, and to make cities and communities sustainable.
WORLDBEX 2025 will feature several key events:
PROJÉTO Interior Design Competition 2025: This competition challenges young designers to create a sustainable learning space for a SPED center. The winning design will be realized as a WORLDBEX passion project.
Philippine Garden Festival (PGF): Celebrating its 4th anniversary, PGF, in partnership with Philippine Association of Landscape Architects (PALA) and Landscape Contractors & Industry Specialists (LACISAP), will showcase local landscape architecture with a focus on sustainable innovation in resort development. A seminar will also be held in conjunction with this to further elaborate their concept.
The World of Interior Design: Top Filipino interior designers will exhibit their work, promising innovative and bold designs with a focus on sustainability and cultural heritage.
Filling the curated spaces will be the Hubilla Design Group, IDr. Leo Almeria, IDr. Chat Fores, IDr. Suzette Cocuaco, IDr. Tony Adriano, and IDr. Eric Paras while Deco Central, IDr. Ron Baba, IDr. Sharon Bering, IDr. Isabela Robles Go, IDr. Hazel G. Resari, IDr. Tessa Prieto.
Accordingly, the Philippine Institute of Interior Designers (PIID) President IDr. Paolo Castro, Vice President IDr. Cindy Fernandez-Beltran, along with their fellows, IDr. Ken Ferolino, IDr. Jigs Adefuin, and other interior designers from PIID Cebu, Mindanao, Panay, Negros, and Eastern Visayas chapters will showcase what they prepared for special setting.
The World of Architecture: The country’s leading architectural firms will present their latest projects. Architects from Visionary Architecture Inc. (Visionarch), DEQA Design Collaborative (DDC), WTA Architecture and Design Studio, Palafox Associates, LPPA Design Group, Inc./ LP Pariñas & Associates, Barchan + Architecture, Headroom Concept Design Visualization Co., Projects Design Plus Architecture Management Corp. (PDP + Architecture), Fulgar Architects, Primea Design Group Co., Angeles Architectural Studio, Liza Crespo Ecotecture, Arbuena Architects, Nazareno Architecture and Design Inc., JOG+ Associates, Huraa Design & Consulting, Inc., Benjamin Annabelle Architecture Design Studio (BAAD), ASYA Design, EUDO – Edwin Uy Design Office, HAN Architectural Design Studio, and Cubesystem Builders Corp. will be filling the exhibits with their latest innovations, highlighting the fusion of sustainability and innovation.
WORLDBEX LIKHA: This segment celebrates Filipino craftsmanship with an art gallery showcasing traditional and contemporary works. It pays homage to homegrown flairs in traditional weaving, pottery, paintings, sculptures, fabrics, finishing textures and textiles.
WORLDBEX Summit: Industry experts and leaders will participate in talks, seminars, and workshops focused on sustainable practices and advancements. Look forward to insightful exchange of ideas from esteemed speakers who will be sharing their knowledge regarding the best practices and the latest advancements in the field. PDP + Architecture President and CEO Ar. Cathy Saldaña announces, “we will be having a developers forum” pertaining to the newest segment featuring experts from the real-estate industry. As Ar. Cathy said, this year’s Summit will surely be a jam-packed three days of learning.
